The Fitch Ratings announced that it has assigned the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) its highest credit rating and a stable outlook.

Fitch provided the AIIB with a long-term issuer default rating of AAA and a short-term issuer default rating of F1+, based on the bank's "existing and expected intrinsic strengths."
惠譽基于亞投行“現有和預期的固有優勢”，予以該行AAA長期發行人違約評級和F1+短期發行人違約評級。
It was the AIIB's second top-notch credit rating in two weeks.
這是亞投行在兩周內獲得的第二個最高級別的信用評級。
Previously, Moody's Investors Service assigned the AIIB a long-term foreign currency issuerrating of AAA and a short-term foreign currency issuer rating of Prime-1 with a stable outlook.

Fitch said the AIIB has been endowed with a substantial capital base that will support itsprojected rapid expansion in lending, while its exposure to risk being mitigated by acomprehensive set of policies and high-quality governance.

"The rating is very critical for our positioning in international capital markets," said SorenElbech, treasurer of the AIIB. "It puts us at the very level of the World Bank and theInternational Monetary Fund," Elbech said.
